Substantially ornate and elaborately carved and molded giltwood and gesso pier mirror with marble-top console table. The mirror measuring 24” wide by 67” tall, and featuring an ornate and elaborate pierced and arched crest with foliate and floral detail above an arched original glass mirror with silver in appropriate period distress. The marble top upon which the mirror rests measures 26” wide by 12” deep with a molded, serpentine edge. The matching gilt and gesso console table stands 31” tall, with minor absences to portions of the gesso, the losses appropriate to age, overall extraordinarily ornate, well-conceived and well executed, circa late eighteenth century
