A Pair of 1775 French Globes

These French celestial and terrestrial globes were in destroyed condition. They were made exclusively from paper except the base Both bases were destroyed, as well. The ring was broken and 4 brass plates were used to stabilize it and then concealed with LeFranc Charbonnel extra fine red bole gilders clay base mixed with hot rabbit skin glue, and then varnished.
